Principal Scientist / CEO

Phillip M. Mangos

Dr. Phillip Mangos serves as the CEO and Principal Scientist of Adaptive Immersion Technologies. He has led multiple efforts related to Big Data analytics, adaptive training, unmanned systems, virtual and augmented reality, and performance prediction. He has developed solutions for domains including medicine, manned and unmanned aviation, law enforcement, and intelligence. He currently serves as Principal Investigator for a Phase II SBIR focused on the development of adaptive, simulation-based assessment tools and advanced scoring algorithms for unmanned systems operators. Dr. Mangos has gained experience as a research psychologist and quantitative scientist within major consulting firms and within the U.S. Navy. He has performed applied research to support the development of customized personnel measurement, selection, and training systems for a variety of work domains including military C2, aviation, manufacturing, transportation, public safety, and intelligence.

Simulation Developer

Tom Motz

Tom Motz serves as a Simulation Developer for Adaptive Immersion Technologies. Tom has over 30 years of software development experience, and has worked in a variety of game and simulation development efforts. He has demonstrated expertise in using game development simulation engines, particularly Unreal Engine 4, Unity, and Torque Game Engine, and has mastery of all common programming languages, such as C, C++, VC++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, VBScript, OpenGL, Adobe Photoshop, and Autodesk Maya. He is adept in several techniques to enhance the immersive experience in AIT’s simulation-based training solutions, including rendering, sound engineering, composition, asset creation, terrain development, and graphics automation. His extensive expertise and mastery of simulation and game development has enabled him to be a key asset in the production of AIT’s simulation-based training efforts.

3D Modeler and Virtual World Developer

Isaac Baez

Isaac Baez serves as the 3D Modeler and Virtual World Developer for Adaptive Immersion Technologies. He is responsible for designing and modeling characters, assets, and environments to be used within the simulation-based solutions. Graduating from Full Sail University with a B.S. in Game Art and a Course Director Award for Outstanding Work Ethic, Isaac has demonstrated expertise in texturing, hard surface modeling, character animation, character rigging, digital sculpting, game-based level design, and a variety of other related techniques and skills for developing high quality 3D models and virtual environments for AIT’s simulation-based training solutions. He is adept in the game engines Unity and Unreal Engine 4, as well as the software packages ZBrush, Maya, 3D Coat, Xnormal, Marmoset and Adobe Photoshop. His mastery of these technologies and techniques enables him to be a key contributor in the development of a wide variety of simulation-based efforts for a variety of training platforms.

Research Associate

Noël Hulse

Noël Hulse serves as a Research Associate for Adaptive Immersion Technologies. She assists in the full spectrum of research and technical proposal development, presentations, and associated project management tasks. She has extensive experience in proposal writing, developing and work plans, and project management through her experience as a Project Coordinator for Mahila Partnership, a 501©3 not-for-profit organization focused on risk reduction and mitigation during natural disasters. Her mastery of both research and writing skills is directly applied to AIT’s efforts by supporting the development and management of technical content, coordination of content with industry and academic partners, and other related tasks. This effort includes the development of situational judgement test items and adaptive personality assessment content. She also co-develops simulation narratives and virtual avatar dialogue to enhance the realism and immersion of the serious game training simulations.


AIT is a technology company that creates adaptive simulation-based solutions for recruitment, selection, and training. We provide custom assessments as well as readymade assessments for a variety of job titles. Our goal is to provide high accuracy and efficiency through our assessments. This hastens the selection, recruitment, and training processes while retaining high accuracy.
