Adaptive Immersion, a pioneer in extended reality solutions for critical operations, is proud to announce its selection as a finalist in the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) 2025 Commercial Capabilities Showcase. The company showcased its revolutionary XReach system during the two-day innovation showcase event on July 30-31, demonstrating transformative capabilities for aircraft maintenance operations.
“In maintenance operations where a single overlooked caution can ground a strategic asset and impact global readiness, XReach transforms how we prepare and support our technicians,” said Dr. Phillip Mangos, CEO of Adaptive Immersion. “By seamlessly blending virtual reality training with augmented reality field support, we’re giving every maintainer superhuman capabilities—from X-ray vision to see internal components to instant access to remote experts anywhere in the world. This technology has the potential to dramatically reduce errors, accelerate training, and ensure mission readiness for our nation’s most critical assets.”
XReach employs an Intelligent Scenario Generation Engine capability customized specifically for aerospace maintenance. The system enables maintainers to receive real-time holographic guidance, visualize hidden components through “see-through” capabilities, and connect instantly with subject matter experts via real-time reachback technology. Early implementations have demonstrated a 53% reduction in maintenance errors and 50% decrease in training time.
Integrated VR/AR reachback capabilities capture subject matter expertise in real time.
The AFGSC showcase brings together innovative companies addressing the Command’s most pressing operational challenges, with XReach directly responding to the need for integrated AR/XR solutions that enhance maintenance readiness in austere operational environments.
